Bankruptcy
Face it, life dished lemons.  Now, how do we make lemonade?  You got over your head in credit cards and other debt.  It snuck up on you, and you want to start over.  You've borrowed against your car title.  It is time to quit getting advances on your paycheck.  I can help.   Sure, it costs money.  But think how much it will save you over the next several years!  Come on in, we can discuss it.

What the heck does a bankruptcy do for me?

When you file a bankruptcy, every one of your creditors quit calling you and start harassing your attorney instead.  Well, not exactly, although occasionally one will call me.  They do quit calling you, though.  I prepare a petition for you, listing all your assets and debts, and file it with the court.  The court notifies your creditors, and they quit calling you.  We go to court together to discuss your situation with the Trustee.  This might take 10 minutes, but it could take longer, depending on your individual case.  A couple months later, you get a letter telling you your debt has been discharged, and you breathe a big sigh of relief.  A bankruptcy does NOT further harm your credit!  The fact is, by the time you are filing for bankruptcy, your credit has already been heavily damaged.  It is one of the reasons you file!  A bankruptcy is actually the beginning of the credit healing process, not the end of it!  The point of a bankruptcy is to give yourself a fresh beginning, and dump the pressure of your bills that are sinking you.

OKAY, NO, it does not get rid of every debt.  You are not going to get rid of your child support payments.  If you are paying alimony, you still will.  You probably can't get rid of your college student loans.  If you are paying a mortgage, and want to stay in your home, you are going to keep paying your mortgage.  What, you think your housing should be free?  BUT - it can really help you gain control of your paycheck!  Come on in, let's talk about it.
